Exactly what I was looking for; not a "make do" part but both the correct & exact piece I've needed.

    Fixed Wobble in my Bayonet!

Posted by Fred on 1st Apr 2018

My Polytech Spiker had a wobbley bayonet for awhile. This was mainly caused due to the pin that holds the bayonet pin in was loose. Removing the pin wasn't too difficult because you can remove the bayonet because it simply hooks. I then used a dremel to cut the pin in half. (Didn't scratch anything don't worry) Then came installing the pin. I took a large vice and two ball bearings of the pin and smashed the both sides of the pin in place with the vice. If you are doing this alone it may be helpful to tape the 2 ball bearings but luckily I had a second hand. Pin was the exact size for my 1988 Import Type 56.
