This Chinese Red Star Weaver SKS mount was originally imported by Keng's Firearms Specialty back in the early 80's. The all steel one-piece mount replaces the receiver cover on the Poly Technologies SKS and has been known to fit some Norinco and other Type-56 Chinese versions of the 7.62x39 SKS rifle. The mount is better quality and has better fit and finish than most mounts of this type. This mount was imported for an optional accessory on the original PolyTech SKS. We have not tried all variations of the Chinese SKS so we can only guarantee fit on the PolyTech rifles. Not PolyTech - File to fit.
Had to file about 0.010 off of the front of cover so that locking pin would mate with the hole in cover on a Chinese SKS. It was not a PolyTech but it did fit.
